Professor of English Jason R. Rudy is currently writing an authorised biography of Gordon Syron. Rudy is Professor of English at the University of Maryland, College Park. Professor Rudy’s most recent book, Imagined Homelands: British Poetry in the Colonies, is a study of poetry written by nineteenth-century British emigrants in colonial spaces, published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2017. Imagined Homelands featured an artwork by Gordon Syron on the front cover.
